Contact Rae if you would like a workshop in your area. Rae specialises in creative writing for all ages—life writing (memoir, autobiography and biography), researching and writing your family history and historical fiction, manuscript assessment and editing, getting published.

2017 workshops included 'Memories of Place: Writing from the senses' for Lambing Flat FAW and Orange City Library; 'Creative Writing for the HSC' at Hennessy College Young; 'Writing and Editing Memoir' for the Society of Editors NSW at UTS; and mentor at the Far South Coast Writers Retreat at Tathra.

Feedback from Rae's workshops:

Excellent techniques for triggering creative life writing, memories, etc; info about caution with permissions needed for archival materials from state and commonwealth institutions.

Writing exercises were great so we could get into the zone of writing memoir; hearing all the details that are important to being a memoir writer/editor.

What a great workshop it was today. You gave everyone a voice and responded with great examples to help each individual.

Great tips about writing, great ideas for getting going.

Heaps of information, but most of all the knowledge that I can do it!

It doesn't matter where you start—great list of free sites.
